Certification of SMP products (personal mobile service)
The National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) establishes within its conformity assessment process the certification of products that use SMP mobile technologies (personal mobile service) for products classified as Cellular Mobile Phone and Terminal Access Station.
The ELDORADO Mobile Technologies Laboratory has the capacity to carry out tests on the required technologies, namely:
- 2G (GSM / GPRS / EGPRS): 3GPP TS 51.010-1 V6.5.0 (2005-11)
- 3G (WCDMA / HSPA / HSPA +): ETSI TS 134 121-1 V9.1.0 (2010-07) and ETSI TS 134 121-1 V9.4.0 (2011-07) 4G (LTE): 3GPP TS 36.521-1 V9. 5.0 (2011-06)
- Nb-IoT, Cat. M1 and Cat.NB1
Such tests are performed, in the majority, in a conducted manner, through the connection of the RF outputs of the equipment under test.
The exception is the Radiated Spurious Emission test: due to the characteristic of the test, it is necessary to use a semi-anechoic chamber.
To perform the tests, it is necessary to use a base station simulator. Communication is established with the equipment under test, according to the technology and configurations established by the standard.
The laboratory has such diversity in terms of the type of simulator (different manufacturers and models), in addition to having an internationally recognized system for carrying out such tests, with the test scripts validated by the GCF and PTCRB organizations.
