Anatel Act No. 1120/2018

The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), at the end of 2017, published Resolution No. 686. This revoked several Agency resolutions, including Resolution No. 529/2009, which dealt with electrical security aspects for telecommunications products in general. To replace it, ANATEL published Act No. 950/2018 as “Technical Requirements for Electrical Safety for Conformity Assessment of Products for Telecommunications”, which is divided into four types of tests, they are:

  • Protection against acoustic shock;
  • Protection against fire risk;
  • Protection against electrical shock;
  • Protection against overheating
